About The Author

- Bernard Fleury, B.A. history and Classical Languages, Ed.D. Philosophy and Administration, former History, English, Latin teacher, and school principal, is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Educational Administration. His administrative/teaching career spans nearly five decades and three United States and Caribbean Colleges.
- Since 1983 he has also been an ordained Roman Catholic clergyman: a permanent deacon, and has served in this capacity in the United States and Cayman Islands.
- His hobbies include history, horseback riding and gardening.
- Dr. Fleury has a lifelong interest in history from the perspective of the people who lived it. This interest and approach to history is evident in A Bee in His Bonnet which is his grandfather Frank King’s story as he recorded it and told it to his daughter and grandchildren.
- Long an avid horseman, for nearly two decades, along with his wife, he led 4-H youth horse clubs.
- Currently he resides in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains on a small farm with his wife Ludmila.
- A Bee in His Bonnet (revised 2007) and Called Into Life By Light (revised 2006), a mind-body-spirit study of light as a someone and a something in the Bible, Physics, Medicine, and Near-Death Experiences, follow two major academic texts: What is Man? and Reform of Schooling.
