Welcome to The Great Generation website, Frank King, and the
Earliest Documented American Anti-Terrorist Campaigns
The Great Generation, born in the last quarter of the Nineteenth Century at the height of the Victorian Age. Their children born in the first quarter of the Twentieth Century would become Tom Brokaw’s Greatest Generation.
This website will tell the story of the Great Generation Era around the focal point of the life of my grandfather, Frank King, born with a wandering bee in his bonnet, the same wandering bee that led his father to Canada in the 1860’s where he met and married the Ojibway Indian Princess Elizabeth Saunders. Frank’s bee led him to emigrate to the United States of America and to a military career that saw him actively engaged in the major events that shaped his era: The Spanish-American War, The Philippine Insurrection (Early American Anti-Terrorism,Emilio Aguinaldo y Famy, and Faustino Ablen), World War I (General John Pershing), The Roaring Twenties, The Great Depression, and World War II. He was ever the good soldier, a man who was honest and faithful.
Check out the contents of this website that will be periodically updated with new articles on persons and events during the era of The Great Generation that are part of A Bee in His Bonnet. I look forward to receiving your questions, comments, etc., regarding this website, my book, and the contents of my articles. They will be posted under Guestbook along with any author responses.
